We talked in layman’s terms about Paleo and Zone, how to get started cleaning up your eating habits and how to proportion Zone meals. It’s little long and mostly uncut. We’ve learned a lot more since then but there are a lot of good tips in this video.
If you want to hear and understand how we approach our nutrition, it’s worth the hour to watch this. The basic idea, stop eating crap. What is the Zone Diet and why and how do we follow it? What is Paleo eating and how do I get there? When you don’t have good food choices, at least keep to strict Zone Proportions.
I talk about how I deal with times when I have bad food options or opportunities/temptations to eat crap by using Zone proportions. It starts at about 30:00.
Staci and I spend a few hours each week preparing our meals in advance for the week. By always having good food choices on hand at all times, it makes it easy for us to stay on track with our eating. We spend six days a week running our CrossFit gym, CrossFit Cleveland in Rocky River, OH, and that places a tremendous demand on our schedules. Daily meal planning is one thing we don’t have to worry about, it’s all done in advance.
