4 Things to keep you on track this summer 🍉 🍉

This weekend is Memorial Day, and here in Cleveland it is the unofficial start of Summer!  I don’t know about you, but as soon as I get the windows open and my flip-flops out, I almost forget about Winter.  
 
It’s all things Summer coming at us, get-togethers and porches and picnics, Oh My! Does it overwhelm and stress you out to think about all the celebrations coming up and what to eat and/or bring to a picnic to stay on track?
 
Are you worried you can’t “enjoy” this time of year and stay on track with your health and wellness goals?
I get it.  Let me help!
 
By keeping it simple, you can have the best of both worlds.  

This summer try doing these four things:
 
#1 ~ Set goals:  Set an exercise goal and a veggie goal.  These 2 things can help deal with the sometimes added stress of summer  gatherings.  This can be as simple as taking a 10-minute walk every day and adding vegetables to your lunch.
 
#2 ~ Don’t go in hungry and keep your plate balanced: You wouldn’t go to the grocery store hungry, at least not on purpose, would you?  Same is true for any get-together.  The day of these gatherings, start your day with a healthy, balanced breakfast, and drink water prior to your event.  This may decrease the temptation to overindulge.  Keep your plate balanced by choosing healthy sources of protein, carbs, and fats using the plate method.  Aim to keep things colorful with a lot of different vegetables; it is that lovely time of year for fresh produce!

#3 ~ Only homemade goods:  I know you’re wondering about the dessert table, right?  Whether it’s the regular food or the desserts, try to stick to homemade items.  Not only are they likely better tasting than store-bought items, they are more likely a better choice with less additives.  When it comes to dessert, pick ONE of your favorites, move away from the table.  This brings me to number 4…..enjoy it.
 
#4 Enjoy:  Summer gatherings are the best!!  Enjoy your time with your family and friends, socialize, play games, and LAUGH LOTS.  You might not want to be hanging out at the food table where it’s easy to stand and snack mindlessly.  Try to stay committed on having one plate of food and being done.  Since you’re enjoying the company and the gathering, this shouldn’t be too hard, right?
 
Living a Health-Centered Lifestyle does not have to be complicated.  It needs to become a consistent habit. That’s what I can help you with, if you’ll let me.

HOLD POLICY

Month-to-Month Membership Agreements and Annual Membership Agreements: You may place your Membership on hold two (2) times per calendar year up to three (3) consecutive months each time. Advanced notice of at least two (2) business days is required. The hold must be 30 days in duration at a minimum and 30 days must elapse between holds. Upon expiration of the term of the hold, your account will automatically become active and payments will resume. Should you choose to return prior to the end of their hold period, the hold will be released and payments will resume.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All membership agreements require 30-days written notice to cancel your membership. This form will serve as your 30-days written cancellation notice. Note that if you have a scheduled renewal payment within 30-days of your invoice billing date, the payment will be processed as scheduled. Your membership will be canceled at the end of your final paid month. All payments are non-refundable. All grandfathered membership rates will also be forfeited and returning members will be subject to current rates.
