Steve talks about his results and what he loves about CrossFit Cleveland

So far I’ve lost 25 pounds, which is huge for me. I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember, honestly, probably about the last 10 years or so, and I’ve tried every diet in the book. I’ve done Keto, I’ve done just low carb, low fat and low calorie. You name it, I’ve tried it. It’s always the kind of thing where I got really good results really fast, but it’s just an unsustainable way to live, and before I know it, I gain the weight back then even more,

CrossFit Cleveland has been the first time in ever that I’ve actually found a place where I feel really great about coming to where I can see results that I know are going to be lasting. We just finished up a six week Nutrition Challenge that I was a part of, and I lost 12 pounds over those six weeks alone, which is phenomenal, and it’s really set up great lifestyle habits going forward. It wasn’t anything crazy that I’m not able to sustain.

I was really nervous about coming here for the first time, to be honest, CrossFit, I always thought it had a reputation of just like these people who are already really in shape. I wasn’t at that point yet, so I didn’t know what I was doing showing up here, but I just called and Bill and Staci welcomed me in and it was like a family almost immediately. Since then, I’ve come in five times a week, and it’s like nothing… I wake up in the morning and I’m excited to get here, which I have never been able to say for anything else before. I’ve made great friends already, and like I said, it’s only two and a half months in, and I love being here, and I love that this has become a staple in my life now. I’m seeing the results that I’ve wanted for so long, and I can’t wait to see where the next six months, a year, a year and a half, two years take me.

When I tell my friends I do CrossFit, to be honest, it’s a little bit of making fun of me at first, like, Oh, you do CrossFit, that’s all you talk about now, but after the initial ribbing, they all think it’s so cool. I’m trying to get some go them to join, because I think it’s great. Even like my mom who is a little bit out of shape and I’m like, Mom, you just come with me. I try one of the LITE classes, there are people who are older who come here and do it and they’re in great shape and everything is scalable. That’s the one thing I love about CrossFit is that everything is scaled, so when you show up on your first day… If the work­out looks crazy intense, like you’re not going to be able to do it, that’s okay. You’re not meant to do that right away. You can do a lesser version that’s perfect for you, and you’re still getting a great workout and you slowly make your way up to what the workout is actually on the board. So whether you’re old or young, really out of shape or in pretty good shape, and you just don’t really know where to begin, you don’t have to worry about that when you come here because everything can be tailored to make sure it’s perfect for you.

So Staci and the whole nutrition coaching team here really taught me about how to make good decisions. I have a pretty good idea of what I need to do to be healthy, but my problem was I just wasn’t able to do it. I didn’t have the real power to do it, so for me personally, what the nutrition challenge really did was help me overcome those really bad cravings. It allowed me to actually stick to what I know I had to do. The other really important thing from the nutrition challenge that I took away was learning how to read all the labels on the back of boxes. You go to the store an see protein bars. Those have to be healthy, their protein bars. If you just look at the ingredients, and it has all these different things in it and all the different kind of sugars and added stuff, it’s actually not that good for you. Staci has been great, when I’m at the store, I take a picture of the back of a box. I’ll send it to her and I’ll say I’m in the store right now. I’m thinking about buying this I think it might be okay but take a look and let me know what you think. She’s always so quick to get back to me and say yes, this looks great or actually watch out for X Y or Z on the label try to stay away from things like that, so that’s really helped.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

HOLD POLICY

Month-to-Month Membership Agreements and Annual Membership Agreements: You may place your Membership on hold two (2) times per calendar year up to three (3) consecutive months each time. Advanced notice of at least two (2) business days is required. The hold must be 30 days in duration at a minimum and 30 days must elapse between holds. Upon expiration of the term of the hold, your account will automatically become active and payments will resume. Should you choose to return prior to the end of their hold period, the hold will be released and payments will resume.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All membership agreements require 30-days written notice to cancel your membership. This form will serve as your 30-days written cancellation notice. Note that if you have a scheduled renewal payment within 30-days of your invoice billing date, the payment will be processed as scheduled. Your membership will be canceled at the end of your final paid month. All payments are non-refundable. All grandfathered membership rates will also be forfeited and returning members will be subject to current rates.
